What is it?
This is a 90-minute workshop for all language teachers, including ESL instructors. Teachers will become the students and experience a simulated language class using research-based strategies.

Teachers will leave with resources for creating their own engaging lessons and activities that support student learning through meaningful interactions and use of the target language.

What to expect
Discover how to implement comprehensible input strategies into your curriculum. Participate in activities, as if you were the student, and see what it is like to be a language learner again!

Ashley Nutt...
Years ago, my practice felt disjointed and uninspiring. Students could cite grammar rules and a handful of vocabulary words, but they lacked meaningful connection with the language. Class felt "good enough" but I was not okay with that. I knew I wanted more for myself, and for my students. I loved the Spanish language and I wanted my students to be inspired and love it too.... but how?
​
Through extensive research, I discovered comprehensible input instruction. Upon reading about other teachers' experiences with this type of instruction and hearing about their enthusiasm for what they were creating in their classes, I knew I had to give this a chance.
​
I have now been using comprehensible input instruction for many years, and the results are OUTSTANDING! Students are now engaged and using the language to communicate, instead of just filling in worksheets. The students speak with confidence, have conversations, laugh, experiment, make mistakes, and try again. I want your classes to BURST with energy as mine have, and it is my greatest joy to share this with teachers who are ready for more than just "good enough".
